Setup Guide

Get your ClawBox up and running in about 5 minutes. No tools required — just a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection.
Setup time: ~5 minutes · Tools: none · Needed: Wi-Fi or Ethernet

What’s in the box

  • ClawBox unit (NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano 8 GB)
  • 512 GB NVMe SSD with OpenClaw pre-installed
  • 20 W USB-C power adapter
  • Ethernet cable
  • Quick-start card with QR code

Setup steps

1

Unbox your ClawBox

Remove it from the packaging, check all components are present, and place it on a flat, ventilated surface. Keep the quick-start card handy.
2

Connect to your network

Plug the Ethernet cable into your router (recommended), or use Wi-Fi — the setup wizard will guide you. A stable connection matters for first-time setup.
3

Power on

Connect the power adapter and plug it into an outlet. Wait for the status LED to turn solid green (~60 seconds).
4

Pair your device

Open your phone camera or a QR scanner and scan the QR code on the quick-start card. Choose your messaging platform (Telegram recommended) and follow the pairing wizard to link your account.
5

Start chatting

Send your first message to test the connection. Try a question or a command, then explore features like browser automation and voice.
A reply to your first message means your ClawBox is live. 🦀

Reaching the device directly

If you prefer the browser setup page, visit http://clawbox.local from a device on the same network.
If clawbox.local doesn’t load, disable any active VPN first (the most common cause), or use the device’s IP address from your router’s client list: http://<device-ip>. Some networks also block mDNS — Ethernet is the most reliable path.
